ABSTRACT
The basis of this research
project is The role of online marketing in the advancement of international
trade. A review of related literature was extensively made in Chapter Two of
the work to cover the relevant aspects of 1, the topic. In this regard, the
empirical studies carried out by others were assembled to comprehensively
address this issue. The population sample size of the study is 220, which is
fully representative of the research population. The instruments used in data
collection for the purpose of this study comprised the following: the
questionnaire, personal interview, observations, textbooks, seminar papers,
articles and the internet. Two of the findings made from the study are stated
thus: (1) Low response to online marketing has resulted in a drastic fall in
the volume of international trade. (2) ihe factor of digital divide (the inability
to use information technology devices) has had adverse effect on the growth of
global trade. In addition, two of the recommendations advanced for the purpose
of improving international trade through online marketing are noted as follows:
(1) IndividuaL, corporate organizations and countries should enforce marketing
through the Internet and allied channels. (2) A priority attention should be
paid to computer literacy to enhance sound use of digital devices.
