ABSTRACT
Segmentation has
become part of the policies companies employ in order to attain set objectives
of the company. The study looks at the impact of segmentation on consumer
satisfaction in the soft drinks industry using Sevenup Bottling Company Plc.
Aba as a case study with the aim of analysing the said impact on consumer
satisfaction. The study employed primary method of data collection through the
administration of questionnaire and personal interview. Data was also sourced
through secondary sources. The data collected from the sampled respondents were
presented using tables and simple percentage. Chi square was used to test the
validity of the hypotheses stated in the work. The study shows that
segmentation helps companies to meet the needs and wants of their target
markets as well as helping sales turnover and market share increase. It was
recommended that the management should always introduce courses that help in
broadening the scope of workers which will be targeted towards customer's
satisfaction.
