ABSTRACT
The research was carried out on
the effect of petroleum product distribution strategy on marketing efficiency
of independent oil marketers in Abia state, Nigeria: A study of some selected
oil companies in Abia state. The researcher on problem statement tried to
investigate and assessed the company on such positive problems as, why had the
company been so successful in the petroleum products distribution in Nigeria,
is it true that the company existence and marketing activities had contributed
to the growth and development of the nation 's economy, etc. The researcher on
carrying out the study had the following purpose of the study to include;
Examine and frequent supply of the relationship between camel intensive
distribution strategy and marketing efficiency, Analyze the relationship
between channel distribution and product availability, analyze the effect of
intensive distribution strategy on the profitability of the enterprise and also
to ascertain some of the problem facing the enterprise. Furthermore, the
researcher after collecting the data, analyses then using statistical tools to
analysis such as percentage, simple regression, and coloration coefficient
Again, the researcher after carrying out the study find out that shortage of petroleum
products do affects its distribution in Nigeria, and that intensive and
frequent supply of petroleum products leads to the growth and development of
the nation economy, etc. The researcher later put up some recommendations that
will help both the company and the government tremendously in achieving their
targeted objectives. The researcher therefore concluded that collaborative
efforts of both petroleum industry and government should aimed at encouraging
efficient and effective distribution of petroleum products in Nigeria so that
its inevitable contributions or benefits can be actualized.
