ABSTRACT
The study
examines the effect of motivation of sales force on company's sales performance
in PZ Cussons Nigeria Pic Aba. The role ofsales force in the face of
unfavorable economic environment cannot be jettisoned. Motivation of sales
force whether in form of financial or non-financial incentive is a vital tool
not only in motivating sales person but also in achieving a particular level of
performance in a company. Survey data were gathered from 74 respondents. All
hypotheses were tested using chi-square. The findings of the research are:
motivation of sales force enhances company's sales performance, salary increase
is the highest motivational factor that influences sales force to a greater
performance, and Companies can make greater sales with motivated salesforce.
