ABSTRACT
This research study titled evaluation of
Incentives as a Stimulating Instrument forProductivity in Cadbury and
Petersonzochonis(PZ) Nigeria Pic Aba. Abia State was carried out to find out
organizations under study.Three research questions were posited and
fundamentally address. The research was guided by two hypotheses which were
drawn from the statement of problem and objectives of study. Related
literatures were review in the study. The data w'ere sourced from both tire
primary and secondary sources available. The questionnaire and interview were
the sources of primary data collection.Simple statistical methods such as
tables, frequencies and percentages were used to present and analyze the data,
w'hile simple regression, anova, and coefficient of variation were used to test
the hypotheses formulated. Thus, findings indicated that there is significant
relationship between the incentive packages and productivity in
organizationsvizCadbury' and Petersonzochonis. Also, management lack the
required managerial skills to carryout effective incentive exercise.
Consequently, the study recommends that management of the two organizations
should be sent on regular incentive relevant tool for productivity. The study
concludes that incentive to workers would enhance productivity not only among
Cadbury and PetersonzochonisPlc, but also to other organizations in Nigeria.
