Evaluation Of The Effects Of Human Resource Management On Millennium Development Goals In Nigeria: A Study Of Abia State,
ABSTRACT
This Study is an
evaluation of the Effects of Human Resource Management on Millennium
Development Goals (MDG5) in Nigeria: A study of Abia State. it is observed that
human resources need of the country can through good management be achieved for
the realization of MDGs. However, the path of the achievement of MDGs is faced
with challenges. Considerable information on Human Resource Management and MDGs
were synthesized. The study made use of research questions, and three
hypotheses were formulated to guide the study. Sources of data collection for
the study were both primary and secondary, while coefficient of variation was
used as a method of data analysis. Based on the data collected and analyzed,
the study argues that it is unlikely that Nigeria will be able to realize all
the goals before the end of 2015. It recommends among others that for Nigeria
to achieve her dreams of MDGs, holistic efforts should be made to combat
environmental constraints such as corruption, ethnicity and political
considerations 9 among others.
