The Effect Of Motivation In The Achievement Of Corporate Goal: A Case Study Of Abia State Housing Corporation, Umuahia.
ABSTRACT
This study is designed to find out the effectiveness of motivation in the
achievement of corporate goals in the public corporations. It went on to
review various motivation theories and motivational techniques introduced
in the Abia State Housing Corporation. The methodology of the study is
highlighted in chapter three and this includes, research design, population,
sample and sampling procedure, instrument for data collection, procedure
for data collection, procedure for data analysis and statistical method for
testing the hypothesis. Chapter four deals with data analysis presentation of
results, hypothesis computations and discussion or results from the data
analysis. The sample consisting of forty-two respondents is used in the
study. Chapter five treated the summary of finding, conclusion, areas for
further investigation and recommendations, Bibliography. Under this
chapter, this study showed that motivational techniques when adequately
provide will not meet the organizational objectives as well as workers needs.
It equally revealed that promotion and advancement play a major role in
stimulating workers to achieve greater output towards realizing the objective
of the organization. The implications of the study were highlighted iii the
summary and conclusion drawn based on the findings, invariably,
recommendations suggested will go a long way in bettering the situation of
things in the public corporations.
