marketing research becomes necessary in anticipating Future opportunities and
problems. Marketing research like other in Formation system becomes
indispensable to the practice and success of modern marketing. Its major
contribution is Felt in the area of providing relevant and timely information
to reduce the risk associated with important marketing decisions and narrowing
down the uncertainty that con Fronts marketing managers. The main objective of
this is to find out the application of marketing research on product and development (A study of' saclux paints). Other
specie lie objectives were pursued by this study, namely to find out to what
extent the application of marketing research helps to create a product that
meets customer satisfaction. this research Work equally investigated into sonic
problems that hinder the application of' marketing research to include; a
narrow conception of marketing research, uneven caliber of researchers, and
poor Framing of the problem among others. However, sonic recommendation were
made to address these Problems. Data were collected through oral discussion and
questionnaires. researcher made use of' manufacturer of' saclux paints and
users o F saclux paints. The researcher adopted the use of chi-square, tables
and simple percentages for his analysis.
