Short-Message Service (Sms)-Based Mobile Records A Case Study Of Michael Okpara University Of Agriculture, Umudike
ABSTRACT
In our world today, not only for the sake of portability,
but also for other reasons like low affordability, low service charge, low
acquisition cost, user friendliness, and familiarization and so on, the use o
mobile phones has gain global acceptance in almost all activities of life.
Example, we have M- learning, M-commerce, mobile imaging and printing consortium,
mobile payment, mobile banking etc all implemented on mobile devices In the
lure of anytime, anywhere service with the light-weighted device, instead of
sitting down or being at one place before a job is being processed, this
project is dedicated to how to use the common phones; we find everywhere, to
perform some record operations. Short-Message Service-Based Mobile records or
SMS-Based Mobile records, in short, is the use of GSM phones to access from a
server machine records like: • Accessing the academic calendar and • Semester
results etc. This is simply achieved just by sending text message.
