Effect Of Oil Spillage On Soil In The Niger Delta
ABSTRACT
This research work examines the effect of oil spillage on Soil in the Niger Delta. General knowledge of oil spillage is highlighted. Problems arising from payment of compensation claims and why the issue of sabotage still persist are analyzed. Practical work was carried out, the effect of oil spillage on the various minerals which exist in the soil are evaluated. The effect of oil producing companies on the life style of the host communities are discussed. This project work proffers new ways in which the Oil companies and the host communities can join hands together and be environmentally friendly.
