Design And Implimentation Of Road Accident Management Information System (A Case Study Of Federal Road Safety Commission)
ABSTRACT
The design and implementation of
road accident on the highway to the minimum by the federal road safety
commission. There indiscipline is implemented to educate drives, motorists and
other members of the public on how to make proper use of the highway.
Therefore, the design and implementation of Road Accident Management
Information system by the Federal Road Safety Commission is to develop a
software which when installed in a computer, can be used to take and keep
records of accident that occurs yearly on the highway. This will facilitate
easy access to accident records, safeguard the yearly records. Accident's
records can be retrieved anytime it is needed, entering of new event that
occurs and viewing the statistics details of record's and generating report
about a particular event records by sorting the statistical records. However,
most of these thoughts are not true since there are area that require only
human labour. In each case, computers are introduced to help some certain
problems. Personal interview and observation methods were employed in gathering
useful data. which in turn were used in designing the various forms and
development of the implementing program. The implementing programs were coded
in VB version 6.0.
