ABSTRACT
The Laguerre
polynomials have been derived using their generating function defined by. —xt
w(x,t) = (1—t)'exp i — and recurrence relation developed by their use. These
recurrence relations were employed to show that the polynomials are solutions
of the Laguerre second order non-hornogenous linear ordinary differential
equation.
