There is no doubt concerning the truth regarding the high level of awareness already created on the positive effect improvement in the use of computerized system, both in the commercial and manufacturing industries. Inventory control system is a very important aspect of commerce and industry that has remained in most areas at the primitive mode of operation- the manual method of inventory control. The manual method of inventory control has presented ugly picture before the clients and the management that the desire for a change to the automated system has been seriously on the increase. This piece of work is therefore an attempt to computerizing an inventory control system of an establishment. As a result of lean resources, the problem of man has ever been on how to keep stock of what is available now for effective use and record keeping of their usage. The elementary objective of inventory control system is to maintain that all necessary goods are made available in the desired state and quantity. The quantity stored has to be controlled in order to avoid inventory dis-investment. An inventory control system must maintain possible stock of stores as well as ensuring that stocks needed are made available by defining various stock level s toward determining whether provisioning should be made. Various techniques are involved in this case by the stockist who compensates for delivery times of lead-time encountered by the suppliers in delivering the ordered goods. In a broader view, according to the New Encyclopedia Britannica, inventory in business is any item of property held in stock by a firm, It includes finished goods held for sale, goods on the process of production, raw materials, and goods that will be consumed in the process of producing goods to be sold
