ABSTRACT

 Computer based auditing is the use of computer, in the processing, testing, analyzing and reporting of financial audited records for transparency and accountability. The computerassisted auditor developed was divided into income and expenditure. Data for analysis was collected using observation and examination of relevant documents with structured systems Analysis and desit!ll methodology. A solution will be designed with top-down design and object oricntl'!d A11alysis and design methodology (O.0.A.D.M) alongside with visual Basic programming lanf!uage with Microsoft access as database management system(DBMS) whit:h provides the database in which data will be stored. Direct changeover was the impkm..:1,ta1inn 1i,, ... ,1d used for the system. lhcsc designs woukl be used to develop the system wheir ccd will be ±sen to we cftectiely and efficients capable of handling all data procsing, a :,zing a..J reporting of financial records. The results of this was the devl'!lop1111.:111 uf t!;, ~omputd-a;-;:-..i-'>11.:u auditing Jpplication for an unsentimental auditing procedure.
