ABSTRACT
The study examined the impact of employee
involvement in decision making on organizational productivity. Tire stucly was
carried 011/ in Michael Okpara University of Agriculture, Umudike, Ahia State.
The specific objectives were to determine the relatio11s/,ip between employee
involvements in decision making on firms' productivity, to ascertain the impact
of employee 's creativity in decision making on organizational growth, to
determine the e_[fect of employee involvement decision making on employee
performance. The study adopted survey and descriptive design and random
sampling technique were also adopted. Primary data was sourced from
distrihution of questionnaires to staff of the five study banks. The clala were
presented using 5 point liker/ scale.· and analyzed using chi-square and
nwrelatim, coe.flic:ient. The findings of this study revealed that majority of
the respondents were male with 72.5%, majority of the re.\pondents were at the
age hrm:kc:t 20-30 yc,,rs wit/, -12.5%. All the· respondents had MSC/PIH.d with
100%, major of the respondents had working experience between 21-25 years. The
empirical result shows that workers involvement has effects on the productivity
of an organization, also ascertain t/Jat c•mployc<' 's creatfrity in decision
making has an impact on organizational growth and 1ha1 employee involvement
decision making has an effecl on employee performance evaluation. It also
recommended that 11w11c1gement of orgw1izalio11s should encourage and motivate
workers and as well allow them make decisions in ihe organization, lherehy
boosting organizational productivity,
