Impact Of Business Environment On Organizational Productivity (Study Of Pz Cussons Industry, Aba - Nigeria):- Emetu Raymond
ABSTRACT
The study generally seeks to examine the impact
of business environment on organizational productivity using PZ Cussons
Industry as the case study. Otherobjectives include to examine — the benefits
of technological advancement to organizational productivity, the relationship
between business environment and organizational productivity, the relationship
between power supply and organizational productivity, and the effect of
government policies on organizational productivity. The four hypotheses of the
research were drawn from this objective. Survey research was used, and result
from questionnaires administered to a sample of 140 respondents gotten from the
entire 198 staffs of PZ Cussons Industry Aba, using the Taro Yamen formula, was
analyzed using ANOVA and Correlation analysis, by means of SPSS. Data was
generated from primary and secondary sources. From the analysis of the data, it
was deduced that increase in production and reduction ofproduction cost are
benefits oftechnological advancement to organizational productivity, there
exists a significant relationship between business environment and
organizationalproductivity, powersupply has a positive relationship with
organizational productivity, and that taxation and import duties are effects
ofgovernment policies on organizational productivity. The research suggests
that the government and management diligently face any environmental factor
that would impede the productivity of the organization.
