This study tried to take into perspective the apathy displayed by hotel employees towards the use of technological operational innovations in hotels in Umuahia capital territory. Four objectives were used to guide the study from which four research questions were drawn. Firstly the study tried to establish whether apathy towards technological operational innovations exist in hotels in Umuahia capital territory. Then it tried to know the causes of this apathy and the distinctive apathetic attitudes the employees display. It also tried to ascertain how the guests responds to this employee behavior. The researcher adopted a descriptive analytical method to carry out the research. A population size of 1000 was used The Taro Yamane formula was used to generate the sample size which resulted to 166. A well-structured and validated questionnaire was the instrument used in collecting data during the field work Mean and standard deviation were the analytical techniques used in analysing data got from the field work All questionnaire copies given out to the sample size were collected back After analysing data got, the researcher discovered that employee apathy towards technological operational innovations does exist in hotels in Umuahia capital territory. He also got to know that lack of proper training, managerial incompetence, fear of trying out new thongs, resistance to change and other reasons are the causes of this form of apathy. The researcher also got to know that the employees show attitudes of sluggishness, dislike, skepticism among others towards these technological innovations. From the result of the analysis, he also discovered that guests don't put up with these attitudes displayed by the employees. In response, the guests show their disappointment, they also show disapproval among others. From the results of the study carried out, the researcher recommended some ways which these form of apathy can be avoided He recommended that Hotel managers should not make wholesome technological changes, any technological change made should be adopted over time. He also recommended that effective trainings should be done on how to use these technological innovations.
