ABSTRACT
This project concerns the design and construction of a
microcontroller based traffic light system. The main purpose of this design is
to realize a system that will reduce the effect of accident, injuries and
congestion in our roads. The traffic light system is a necessity in our
society, especially where school children and other pedestrian have to cross
road for one reason or the other. The design project also make use of different
colors that will indicate the direction that individuals should follow at a
particular instant. This model will be useful for the development of modern
traffic light system in our community.
