ABSTRACT

The study empirically investigated communication as a toolfor effective management in MTN, Nigeria Pic, Umuahia, Abia state. The specific objectives were to know the effect of communication tool on management performance; Secondary andprimary data were usedfor the research. The primary data were obtained through administration of50 well-structured questionnaires. The study adopts survey design method. The data were analysed with simple and multiple regression model using (OLS) and correlation coefficient. The empirical result from simple regression shows that increase in communication tools usedwill lead to increase in management performance in MTN Nigeria Pic; the correlation result shows that there is positive relationship between communication and management performance in MTN Nigeria in Umuahia, Abia State; from the multiple regression, the result indicated that, increase in communication channel and finance lead to increase in effective communication in the organization while change work environment and increase in corruption lead to decrease in effective communication in the organization in MTN Nigeria in Umuahia, Abia State. It was recommended that the management ofMTN Nigeria in Umuahia, Abia State should consider investing in direct marketing more on the internet andsocial media networkssuch as Facebook and Twitter as they represent the future ofAdvertising. They should also develop creative adverts that emphasize the benefits a customer will enjoy by using the company services. The MTN Nigeria in Umuahia, Abia State should advertise through a wide variety of media to widen the scope oftheir Advertising. This requires the organization to have a sufficient level ofAdvertising budget to ensure a maximum level ofawareness in a variety ofmedia. Keyword: Communication, Management.
