ABSTRACT

The Nigeria economy is developing therefore firms especially those in banking sectors emphasis on the search for improved means of satisfying the needs and wants of customers continue to increase every day. It WS oil this basis that the researcher is out to present as possible that is generally recognized as marketing with particular reference to banking services. From the statement of problem which banking was spotted out as a very lucrative and viable sector, for tins reason both the government and private entrepreneur have been striving to develop the institution. But unfortunately, banking activities in Nigeria cannot he said to have achieved l00% efficiency as far as marketing services is concerned. The objectives was concentrated on the various influences marketing plays in the banking sector that the portrayed by various individuals. In methodology, the researcher used judgmental sampling techniques to draw the populations frame made tip to those who are strategically placed in position of the bank. Also, primary and secondary data were collected. For the study of primary data, oral interviews and questionnaires were the two data gathering used. The information gathered was more concise and comprehensive with help of' some statistical tools as table and percentages. The hypothesis were tested with chi-square. Based on the findings, it reveals some important facts that the growth of a bank depend on the extent to which the marketing in banks is the point that carries on the banks services. Also that marketing is necessary in improving the banks services. It becomes necessary that based on the facts that the came out of the research, the following recommendations are made. 'these recommendations are intended to improve the serious banks in the future. They are counter services, recruitment and training policy, and project supervision policy.
