ABSTRACT

This research work was conducted to examine effect of sales promotion on the profitability of a company. The study found out that sales promotion was considered the most effective. Promotional elements for achieving marketing objectives and stimulating buyer behaviour.It was found out that the company made use of varieties of dealers to bring their products to the doorstep of their numerous customers. To this end, research questions were formulated and two (2) hypotheses tested. 80 questionnaires were spread over four (4) individuals in Owerri staffs, distributors, retailers, customers) the response rate was 77. The data analysis was done using percentages, tables and chi-square (x2) Statistics. It was discovered after testing the hypothesis formulated, that there is a significant relationship between sales promotion and volume of sales and company profit and growth are related to sales outcome.
