Application Of information Technology Towards Achieving Effective Distribution Of Brewery Products, (The Study Of Nigerian Brewery Plc, Aba, Branch)

ABSTRACT

This study titled: Application of information technology towards achieving effective distribution of brewery products, the study of Nigerian Brewery Plc, Aba, branch, set out to examine the extent that Nigerian Brewery applies information technology tools to achieve effective distribution of its products. A survey research design was used for this study whereas both primary and secondary data. were collected for the study. Major research tools Used was questionnaire. The study population consisted of management and staff of the case organization. Major findings of the study include Nigerian Brewery plc made use of such devices as Electronic data exchange, electronic fund transfer and satellite tracking for effective distribution. The use of these tools will increase the productivity and enable faster and efficient information exchange with trading partners, greater sharing of information and greater tracking of market data the company has sufficient products to meet customers' frequent demand. Finally, based on the findings, the researcher recommended that the Brewery business should adopt scientific management that is information technology in orientation, the company should acquire more distribution vans equipped electronically to enable it adequate coverage of its entire market both in rural and urban areas
