ABSTRACT

The data used in the project work was collected from the statistical bulletin and publications of central bank of Nigeria for a period of 9 years from 2003-2011. The objective of the study is to construct a time series model which could be used to predict a reliable and dependable future analysis. The Box-Jenkins models building procedure was adopted to obtain the parameter of the identified model. The model estimated was the parameter of the identified model. The model estimated was done using the MINITAB package. SARIMA (2,0,0) (2,1,1/2 was suggested.
