ABSTRACT

The federal Government has been doing a lot in the area of Agriculture, industries, Banking, Education, Health services and other financial institutions. In the area of health services, the government effort has been to ensure that she achieves good health for all. She has made efforts in the construction of many public health institutions, which include health, centres, health clinics, maternities and mobile clinics. Recently there has been a general trend towards improvement, which was confirmed. Increase in financial and human resources, better organization changes in medical practices, increased public health consciousness and the growing appreciation of the possibilities of preventing diseases, have contributed to immensely to improve health care condition in the area. However, these advances might not be recognized when compared to the magnitude of the problem yet to be solved. Statistical records of patients being admitted into the Hospital is kept on a daily routine. Obviously these patients have one problem or the other, some of which are major communicable diseases like tuberculosis, malaria, cholera, small pox, venereal diseases, AIDS (Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome) chronic and degenerated diseases. Some need infant attention after a total accident, which may lead to loss of lives and suffering. Although many researchers have been conducted to in cover the causes of these diseases and sonic irieaniiigful solution have been achieved.
