ABSTRACT

The study is a descriptive study of the impact of risk management on the performance of deposit money banks in Nigeria. However, this work address to deposit money banks • on the corporate organizational performance of the deposit • money banks in particular using oceanic bank international a plc as a study of the filed survey to analyzed the data were collected using both primary and secondary, via questionnaire, oral interview and personal observation were the primary data, textbooks, journals and the work other experts in the field of the study served as secondary data. Were the population of study is made up of all conservation to a particular phenomenon of interest to the research study and the total population of 56 staffs which represent the management and staff, using sample and sampling techniques to analyzed the data, were the sample size to be used for this research study is 49. Hence, 49 questionnaires are distribution. Chi-square statistics are used in testing the hypothesis, were the result and findings release that, banks have developed to the content with the changes wrenching the banking industry. And, I recommended that, Nigerian banks should in place adequate organizational structure that will define the responsibility for monitoring and control the risk when it occur in their day to day activities and improved technology, telecommunications, new product, and services for improve performance and profitability in 20th century. It has concluded that strategic risk management practices are not sufficient or the improved performance of banks in 20th century..
