ABSTRACT
The application ofmanagement information
system (MIS) in decision making (A study ofNigerian Breweries Pic). Decision
making is the task of every top management in an organization and they need
relevant and timely information to assist in taking decision. Information
resources is one the major issues and indices of organizational planning. Where
the relevant information required for planning are not available at the
appropriate time, the main objective ofthe project is to investigate the
application of management information system in decision making and to know
what extent does management information system affect management finance
decision ofNigerian Breweries Pic. Statistical method was used in analyzing the
data obtained during the course of this study. Primary data was to collect data
from first hand sources. The final specific objective was said to examine the
effect of management information of finance decisions ofmanagers, hypothesis was
testing and the result revealed that management information has a significant
effect on the finance decision of Nigerian Breweries managers. In consonances
with this study’s findings, it is recommended that management information
system as reported should also include on a daily basis a section for regular
management information that can aid the operational decision of managers.
