In this project work on residue theorem and its application to contour integration, is shown how residue theorem can be applied to various fields of contour integration. A specific attention was paid to application to Cauchy integral, evaluation of real integrals, integration of rotational function along the line, calculation of definite integral, integration of trigonometric functions. The application to Cauchy integral deals with the Cauchy's integral formula, Cauchy generalized integral formula. It is further applied to definite integral involving trigonometric function, improper integral and also integration of a rotational function along the line. Lastly the calculation of definite integral was done using some examples to illustrate
