Regression Analysis On The Sectorial Contributions To The Development Of Nigerian Economy
ABSTRACT
The research work examined "The
Regression Analysis on the Sectorial Contributions to the Development of
Nigerian Economy" within period of 2002-20 12, using multiple regression
analysis and ordinary least square method (O.L.S) estimation techniques, to
show the contribution of the various sectors. The test for normality,
linearity, homoscaedascity and other test were adopted to show that the
assumption of the classical normal linear regression model (CNLRM) is
satisfied. Based on the findings, the study suggests that a unit increase in
agriculture, industry and service will yield an average increase of 0.8, 1.4
and 2.46 respectively. It also suggests that all the parameters are significant
in the model. R2was used to determine the correlation coefficient.
