ABSTRACT
Eigenvalues serve a lot of purpose in problems
of physical and else where in this project works, our main aim is to give a
concise explanation of' eigenvalucs and then review different methods for their
computation We discuss how we use the power method in finding the dominant eigenvalues
and corresponding eigenvectors. We also try in showing how to produce a
tridiagonal matrix from a given matrix, by using the house holder's method .And
some examples are given for these methods applied.
