ABSTRACT
As mobile devices increasingly
become integral to our daily lives, securingdigital transactions has never been
more critical. This project presents the designandimplementation of a robust
mobile-based secure payment systemthat leveragesfingerprint biometrics for user
authentication. The system addresses security concernsin mobile payments,
offering a seamless and secure alternative to traditional payment methods. The
objective include security enhancement which is the primary objective of
thisproject is to enhance the security of mobile-based payments provided by
utilizingfingerprint biometrics, the system ensures that only authorized users
can initiateandauthorize transactions. Usability and Convenience is also a
priority user convenience. The integration of fingerprint authentication
streamlines the payment process, eliminating the need for complex passwords or
PINs. The project employs an agile approach to achieve its objectives. The
development phase includes the creation of a mobile application compatible with
Android andiOSplatforms. This application integrates with the device's biometric
authenticationcapabilities to capture and verify user fingerprints securely.
The back-endof thesystem encompasses a secure server infrastructure responsible
for managinguseraccounts, processing payments, and maintaining transaction
records. Data encryptionand secure communication protocols are employed to
protect sensitive informationduring transmission. The mobile-based secure
payment system using fingerprint biometrics representsanoteworthy advancement
in the realm of digital payment security. Its successful implementation
demonstrates the feasibility of enhancing security while maintaininguser
convenience. As mobile payments continue to proliferate, the systemserves
asarobust model for secure and user-friendly transaction authentication.
