ABSTRACT
Secondary data derived from the
Nigeria demographic and health survey 2008 and 2013 on the knowledge and use of
contraceptives among married women in Nigeria were used in this study. The
ultimate objective is to investigate the difference between married women on
the basis of zone, residence, education, age, wealth quintile. Levels and
differentials of contraceptive methods, ever used and current use were examined
using percentages, descriptive statistics was equally applied. However, the
result of the analysis shows that knowledge of at least one contraceptive is
dependent of age and number of living children.
