ABSTRACT
The
study examined analysis ofthe impact ofcash management on profitability
ofdeposit money banks in Nigeria using Access bank as a case study. The
specific objectives were to determine the impact ofcash ratio on the retuiii on
asset ofthe deposit money, to ascertain the impact of cash turnover on the
return on equity of the deposit money and to empirically examine the impact
ofdebtor ratio on profit after tax of deposit money. Secondary data was
usedform the study and the data was sourcedfinancial statement ofAccess Bank
Pic. The sourced data was analyzedwith simple regression. The findings ofthis
study revealed that cash ratio has positive andsignificant impact on return on
asset ofthe deposit money banks, cash turnover has negative and significant
impact on return on equity of the deposit money banks , debtor ratio has
positive and significant impact on profit after tax ofthe deposit money banks.
Bank in Nigeria should ensure efficient cash management both in the short term
and in the long run. It was recommended that management ofstudy bank should
that in order to increase returns on equity.
