ABSTRACT

A typical solid waste management system in Aba Urban display: Based on the above, this research was carefully carried out in some selected areas of Aba Urban to show how lefuse aic generated, collected and disposed and the causes of improper waste management. The goal of this work are to evaluate the sources through which solid waste are generated in Aba which this goal will be achieved are stated on this project. In order to ensure the effectiveness of this work, data were obtain through secondary data approach, direct observation etc. ofthis work. ix .,1 and proffer solutions to improve on the existing solid waste management. The objectives at I j p was drawn from the Li rs an array of problems including low collection coverage and irregular collection services, crude open dumping and burning without air and water pollution control.
