Effects Of Individualized Learning Package (Inlep) On Students’ Achievement And Interest In Chemistry:- Agbaegbu, C. N.
Abstract
This paper is a report on the effects of the
Individualized Learning Package (INLEP), on senior secondary year one (SSI),
Chemistry students in Anambra State of Nigeria. The experimental group was
exposed to INLEP while; the normal lecture was given to the control group for a
period offive weeks. Two instruments - Chemistry Achievement Test (CAT), and
Chemistry Interest Scale (CIS), of appropriate psychometric qualities were used
for data collection.’ These were administered to the subjects immediately after
the treatment session. The scores obtained were analysed using the Analysis of
Covariance (ANCOVA). Results indicated that the experimental group made
significant gains (p<0.05) in achievement and interest when compared with
the control group.
