ABSTRACT

The increasing demand for poultry products necessitates efficient farming practices, making education and training for poultry farmers essential. This project presents the design and implementation of an e-learning system specifically tailored for poultry farming. The system aims to enhance the knowledge and skills of poultry farmers through accessible and interactive online resources. Utilizing a user-friendly interface, the platform provides comprehensive modules covering various aspects of poultry management, including breeding, feeding, health care, and biosecurity. The development process involved stakeholder engagement to ensure content relevance and effectiveness. A pilot study was conducted to evaluate the system's usability and educational impact, with results indicating improved knowledge retention and application among participants However, the methodology adopted in this project is water fall method. Thus, the development process of the system was categorized into two phases which includes the frontend and backend.  JavaScript programming language in line with CSS, HTML, Bootstrap, was used to develop the frontend while MYSQL was used to develop the database. . The result shows that e-learning can significantly contribute to sustainable poultry farming practices, promoting both productivity and animal welfare. This study underscores the importance of integrating technology in agricultural education and offers a scalable model for future e-learning initiatives in other agricultural sectors.
