The universal basic education teachers in Abia State knowledge of the causes, effects and solutions ofclimate change were sought. A sample offour hundred andfortyfive (445)from a population of4433 universal basic education teachers was usedfor the study. The sample was got by a combination ofproportionate stratified random sampling techniquesfrom the three education zones andsimple random sampling in the various centers usedforretraining teachers. Three Research questions were posed and two null hypotheses were formulated and tested at 0.05 level ofsignificance. Instrumentfor data collection is a researcher' developed 28-item questionnaire ofthe likert type. Itwasface and content validated and the reliability index of0.85 determined. The research questions were analyzed using mean and the hypotheses tested with chi -squared (x2) statistics. Results show that a significant difference exists in the knowledge of males andfemales and on the knowledge ofurban and rural teachers on the causes, effects and solutions of climate change. It is recommended that some other strategies of disseminating information like seminars andworkshops apartfrom the electronic media be adopted in bringing the correct information to all teachers especially those in the rural areas who may not have access to information through the mass media.
