Assessment Of Indiscipline Behaviours Among Teachers That Influence Students' Behaviour :- Ursula Ngozi A
Abstract
This study assessed teachers' view of
indiscipline behaviours exhibited by them that influence students' behaviours.
The design of the study was descriptive survey while the sample of330 teachers
was got by combination of cluster and simple random sampling techniques from
the population of I 093 teachers in Umuahia education zone of Abia State. Two
research questions were asked and two null hypotheses formulated. A 20-item
restricted response type of researcher developed questionnaire was used as
instrument for data collection. The reliability of the instrument was 0.83.
Data were analyzed using mean for research questions and to test for
hypotheses. Results show that teachers believe that neither "very
often" nor "often" exhibit indiscipline behaviours that can influence
the behaviours of their student. However, a significant difference exists
between gender and location to their views. It is recommended that stake
holders in education come together again to look at indiscipline issues.
