ABSTRACT
The
purpose of this study focuses on the Appraisal of Inventory Management with
respect to Organizational efficiency and profitability in the two Company’s in
Aba, The methodology used in collecting the data for the study was from Primary
and Secondary data sources. The statistical tools used in analyzing the primary
data were simple percentage. The population of 90 was used and the statistical
instrument used was the Taro Yamen’s formula to get the sample size of 73.
Finally the two finding in my research work are as follows below: the company
maintain a good inventory management and they also keep proper stock
documentation. And the two of my recommendations include: A receiving clerk
should not be allowed to issued the material received while the other are that
the direct buying function should be assigned to the purchasing section.
Inventory should be properly managed so that when demand is expected at it Peak
inventory holding should be increased where less inventory should be hold when
low demand is expected.
