ABSTRACT
The Laplace transform method
provides a simple and often useful technique for solving problem arising in
application to systems of linear differential equations. The method was applied
to B.M. Plancks model of a system of second order ordinary differential
equation in connection with the motion of particles projected from the surface
of the earth assuming the mass of the particle and the effects on the particle
caused by the rotation of the earth to be negligible. The inversion of Laplace
transform yielded the solutions in a closed form.
