ABSTRACT
This project work studied the
Temperature Data of Umudike in Abia State (1996- 200 1). The ultimate aim is to
design a mathematical model, 'which could be used to predict future temperature
value. The method of simple descriptive time series analysis was employed using
the multiplicative model. The result of the analysis showed that the trend was
constant above the overall mean, there was seasonal effects and slight cyclical
effects too. The trend, seasonal and cyclical components were used for the
forecast while the irregular components was used to construct the confidence
limits for the forecast value.
