ABSTRACT

This project work is on vector spaces, which ire set of vectors. These vectors have the property of producing another vector in the same space under the operation of addition and scalar multiplication. Iii a vector Space. it is important to have a minimal Set of vectors that can be used to . generate any other vector in the vector space. this minimal set that can generate every vector in the vector space is called a basis of the vector space and this basis help in representing linear transformations as matrices. Vectors, which are determined by their magnitudes arid their direction, are of great importance to the engineer and physicist in solid mechanics and fluid flows.
