ABSTRACT

The pandemic H1V/A1DS is perhaps (he most serious plague of our time and has being a public health hazard in the country which has consequently resulted in many deaths, thus has become a concern and requires critical analysis which has motivated me to embark on such a research work. This study is essentially based on the tim^ series analysis on deaths being reported as result of H1V/A1DS infection in Federal Medical Centre, Umuahia from 2004-2011. Many of us arc aware of the increase mortality rate in the country which this pandemic on its own has directly or directly contributed to it, therefore the major purpose of this work is to construct a mathematical model which could be used to predict or forecast a reliable and dependable future deaths that will occur in the Medical Centre and proffer suggestion that will help them to tackle this health wise thereby reducing the ugly trend
