ABSTRACT

The principal aim of this project work is to fashion out a mathematical model that could be used to forecast dependable future levels of births in the state and also to evaluate the birth data to see if the population is increasing or not. The survey covers all the registered births at Federal medical centre. Umuahia Abia State between January 2000 to December 2005. Consequent upon the results, I pro flyer these recommendations. Health administration and health organizations should p.v more attention to the state to continue to mobilize more resources to enlighten people on the danger of over-population and the need for family planning. Data should be collected from other general hospitals in the state to compare the results. Adequate birth control measures should be adopted to check ever population.
