ABSTRACT

The concept of malaria infection in the world is a critical issue that requires an urgent attention following its negative impact in recent times. The erstwhile world view of this endemic has drastically changed as its impending effect is felt globally. In African continent particularly in the coastal region of west and east Africa, malaria infection is so prevalence couple with the climatic factors. This work is my modest contribution to the elimination of this invading endemic 'malaria'. in this research work, secondary data collected from Medicare Medical center in Ikot Ekpene were used which aid in analyzing the possible characteristics of the disease. A pure statistical method called 'Time Series' was employed in this study. The actual objectivity of this methodology was to x-ray the possible components of the time series such as trend, seasonal, cyclical and irregular variation that could be presence in the data in study. A multiplicative model was used which prepares a stable background for. Design mathematical model In summary, from the analysis we revealed the existence of trend, seasonal effect though cyclical and irregular variation were not that pronounced.
