The Level Of Participation Of Students In Social And Religious Activities And Academic Performance

ABSTRACT

This study examines the effect of students participation in social and religious activities on acadeinic performance which could be used to enhance students performance in higher in situation. The stu dents exam med were that of 300 level and above  Using the Situp Ic Sampling 'Technique 31% of the total N units was randomly selected with the tab he of ran doin numbers. A cross tabulation of the differentials in the acadeni ic p erforni an cc according to the tim e spent by stu dents per week and background characteristics exam Limited was observed. To sharpen the cross tabulation of the differentials in the academic performance. Two Way Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) was conducted. The result of the analysis obtained shows that there is no significant difference between the aitimber of hours students spend on approved or authorised social and religions activities and their academic performance.
