ABSTRACT

Alcohol is psychoactive drugs whose main site of action is on the Central nervous system, inhibiting the higher centers of the brain (Ralli, 1990). It is rapidly absorbed by the gastro-intestinal track and metabolized in the live. Alcoholic breakdown takes place in two stages, involving the Microsomal ethanol oxidizing system (MEOS) or alchol dehydragenae. This enzyme catalyzes the conversion of alcohol to acctaldehyde.
