ABSTRACT

In this research work titled "The Application of Statistical Quality Control in Soap 'sunlight' manufacturing industry (a case study of Unilever Brothers Plc. Aba). Because of the variations that occur during production process in manufacturing production process in manufacturing industry, there is need to apply statistical quality techniques to ensure that the product specification reaches the conformed standard. Jn view of this, the use of statistical quality techniques o ensure that the product specification quality control in sunlight soap, Unilever Brothers Pie. is aimed at determining the variations that may occur in the lengths and weights that is whether the products conforms to the set standard. Jn the analysis of Data, the test of Randomness was used to test if the data of rchart of weight are randomly collected and the analysis of variance was used to test the difference in the means of the weight and length of sunlight soap. Genera11y through the use of means X and Range R control chart, it was discovered that the process was in statistical process control; and the analysis of variance also indicates that there is no significance difference in the means of sunlight soap since the process is in control.
