Teachers' Perception Of Teacher Characteristics Necessary For Entrepreneurship Education In Abia State:- U. N Akanwa

Abstract This study focused on teachers' assessment of the teacher characteristics necessary for entrepreneurship education. A sample of 448 was used. It was got by stratified random sampling from the three education zones of the state. One research question was asked and two null hypotheses were formulated and tested using Z-test. Results show that teachers agree that teacher characteristics enumerated are necessary for entrepreneurship education as all the items had a mean of above 2.5. Hypotheses tested showed no significant differences between the opinions of male and female teachers and between the urban and rural teachers. It is recommended that these characteristics be stressed in teacher education to ensure proper transfer of these entrepreneurial attributes to her students.
