Statistical Analysis Of Schools Enrollment Into Nigerian Universities

ABSTRACT

 Students enrollment into Rivers State University of science arid technology RSUST) for a period of five years was used in this work. This thesis is expected to give an overview of the enrollment of students into Rivers State University of Science and Technology Nkpolu, Port Harcourt (RSUST). This study is aimed at getting the enrolment Pattern of students in RSUST and predicting the enrolment pattern for the next two years. The secondary data collected on the enrollment of students in RSUST I was from the Exams and records unit and the analysis of the data was done based on faculties. It was observed from the analysis that while some have on the average an increasing trend some had an unstable trend and some equally had a decreasing trend. In t general we observed that despite the difference in the trend directions of the faculties the total number of students enrolled in RSUST increased for the last two I academic sessions which conforms with the opinion that people have come to realize the 1 dynamic power of education in their daily lives, Moreover, the predicted enrollment I pattern for the next two academic sessions generally showed an increasing trend.
