ABSTRACT

This research project is study of the Relevance of Inventory Management to the Growth of Manufacturing Firms (A Study Of Pz Plc Abia State, Nigeria) and aim at identifying various problem areas which tend to undermine inventories, efficiency and effectiveness, as well as finding solutions to the whole problem. However, the research study begins with chapter one, which contains an introduction, background of study, the relevance of study, the scope of study, the objective of study, statement of problem, limitation of study, chapter two of this research study deals with the review of related literature review, inventory control at PZ Plc, processes involved in inventory management and control assessing the item to be held in stock, stock control mode, inventory valuation, inventory valuation method, use of inventory record, contribution of inventory management and control, problems association with inventory control, chapter three treated the research methodology, area of study, data collection and procedures, procedures for data analysis of finding, industrial survey method in carrying out this study. Chapter five summary, recommendation and conclusion.
